You should be using every possible method available to entice your readers to subsribe to your content.

  1. Make the content valuable
  2. Make it easy to subscribe
  3. Tell them why they should subscribe with RSS
  4. Tell them how to subscribe to your feeds
  5. Offer all the major 'easy add' buttons: My Yahoo, My MSN, Add to Google, Bloglines
