Website Content Strategies Important to PR

Writing good online content audio conference from PR University

Bulldog Reporter's PR University audio conference covered all aspects of web content and writing for the web,

Jon Greer, who blogs at Catching Flack, took notes and blogged the session

A comprehensive web content strategy will assist you to write better content across all online channels: website, blogs, RSS content and news content. It starts with keywords.

As an example:  this blog post is about an audio conference on web writing.

The first step is to do the keyword research and establish how many many poele search for the subject you are blogging about

Should I title this Web Writing?  Or should it be web content?  Micro content perhaps?

19 people a day search for web writing

97 people search for web site content each day

So although the audio confernce was actually about web writing and micro content, I chose to use website content as the keywrod at the beginning of the headline.

Google really is your home page today.  the best content in the world is no good to you if it never gets found. Learning to write for the search engines is a skill PR professionals must learn.

You can read my notes about this website content session on my other blog at the Leading Edge.
