RSS heads-up for PR (Public Relations)

RSS feeds tied strongly to online news consumption

Research from Nielsen/Net Ratings this week shows that RSS users are significantly more engaged in online news than non-users,
visiting an average of 10.6 news sites compared with 3.4 news sites for non-users.  They also visit them more frequently.

One surprise finding: RSS users are older than the typical early adopter.

Another figure that throws a spoke right into the earlier findings of low RSS adoption is that 83% of respondents identified as RSS users by clickstream were not even aware they were using RSS!

What's driving this adoption of newsfeeds?  Convenience say users.

RSS and PR make good bedfellows - it is time to RSS enable your news content.
