Excellent Blogs RSS and podcasts event

Bulldog Reporter's PR University excelled yesterday

While other blogging events may be losing steam, yesterday's PR University's audio conference on the New PR Technologies proved to be a hit.

For two hours 175 companies listened to the basics of corporate blogging, how to use RSS feeds as a PR and media relations tool and how podcasting will fit into this new PR environnent.

To give the audience some reality on blogging - and to have a place to give them our references - I suggested we set up a blog for the event.

Bill and Andy at Myst Technology jumped right in and built a beautful blogsite for the PR University event.

It was quite a challenge to keep one's attention on the thread of the discussion between presenters, blog your own thoughts and references and then still be able to answer intelligently when asked a question!

Toby Bloomberg of Diva Marketing and I had a good laugh about getting tongue- tied and finger- tied at the same time.

But it was a truly innovative action and worked very well for the audience. Usually listeners have no way of getting the references in real time.

The blog will remain up as a record of this event.

There are some excellent references and links - you should go check it out.

And watch the blog for the results of next week's advanced class in using the new technology to improve  media relations.
